I'm a published, multi-genre fiction writer best know for my mystery & detective and police procedural novels. When I decided to write books, those genres seemed the natural fit for a retired Texas peace officer as they are the kind of stories I know the best. But ever since I first sat down at a computer and started writing fiction, I've always wanted to write classic western tales of the Old West. That seems as good a fit for me as telling stories about cops and private detectives.
